1.2 - What is the procedure and how long does it take to get a website up and running?
The steps to getting your site up and running are quick and easy. We begin by emailing you an "Items Needed" e-mail, which consists of requests of specific information and items directly related to your organization. Once you send back the email with the items requested, your site will then go into build mode. Once in build mode, your site will take from 7-10 business days to complete. Once your site has been completed, we will notify you in an email that contains your login information and support materials. From there you will have the ability to update the website anytime. Please note that our support team is here to answer any questions you have during this process and anytime after your site is completed.

2.1 - I would like our website to look different than any other site on our campus. What role can I play in designing our website?
We currently have 40+ different designs for you to select from. Within each template, you are free to pick the color scheme and graphics associated with that template. While two sites have the same template, they could look vastly different depending on the types of colors and graphical identity. When submitting your site to be built, you even have the option to link another site that you like, so our artist can try and duplicate that site's look and feel.

2.2 - I was told that our chapter can not use any company that is not licensed through the Greek Licensing. Are you licensed vendor?

2.3 - What happens when I graduate? Do I lose access to the website?
As long as your chapter continues to use Chapter Communications you will always have access to your site. Your status will change from undergraduate to alumni, which may mean some changes in permission or access depending on your administrator, however you will still have access to the private site.

2.4 - We already have a website, would we be able to keep our current web address/domain name?
Depending on the URL, this is a yes and no answer. If you have private domain already registered such as http://www.dgillinois.com, it is very easy for us to switch that over to our system and keep that same address alive for your new website. If you are using a free site that gives you an extension like http://www.freesite.com/dgillinois, we cannot use that URL for your new site. Also, if you use and want to continue to use a university domain, such as http://www.uiuc.edu/dgillinois, we cannot do that either. For both options that we can't build sites on, we can give you a redirect page, that will redirect people who visit the old site link, directly to the new site that is built by us.

5.1 - What about Risk Management?
We know that Risk Management is an important issue with your organization and we have taken this into consideration when designing our system. Our websites have screening technology to avoid embarrassment and potentially harmful content from making it onto your site, as well as certain Administrator approved only sections that approve posts, events or pictures, before they are made public. These along with a thorough Terms and Conditions agreement that protects us and your organization, we feel as adequate when covering the Risk Management issue.

During this past year, we have gone to many Regional Greek and Greek Council specific conferences. If you would like to schedule a meeting with our staff, please contact us via the contact page.

6.1 - I like what Chapter Communications is doing for the individual chapters, but I would like to incorporate the entire Greek Community. Do you have anything that will work for us?
Glad you asked. We have Greek Life packages, which encompasses the whole Greek Community, to include administration. This is advantageous on a campus organizational outlook and on the total cost outlook for the whole committee. Since we are setting up and maintaining a community, rather than a few chapters, we will give EVERYONE a discount across the board. This is a great way to uniform communication and management within your community. If you have any more questions, please contact us via the contact page.

7.1 - How long is our contract?
Contracts are good for one year. However, we strongly urge organizations to get a full Chapter Communications experience, and use us for at least two years. This allows an organization time to implement the tools and see how they affect the new members as well as some newly graduated alumni.

7.2 - What happens if our Chapter is kicked off campus has our charter revoked or is no longer part of our Universities Greek system for another reason? Are we still liable for our contract?
This will be handled in a case by case basis, however if your Chapter decides to leave on your own accord due to low membership or a change in your university that was not your fault, you are not obligated to fulfill your contract.
Return to Top | Return to Pricing and Contracts
7.3 - My chapter has small fundraisers throughout the year. Can our contract be put on a payment plan?
With more than 90% of our staff going through Greek systems while in college, we understand that there can be some tough times. We are willing to work with you, need it be a monthly, quarterly, or yearly billing cycle.
